London - Phillips presented the second annual dedicated Pablo Picasso: Paper & Clay auction which achieved sell-through rates of 98% by value and 93% by lot, as well as three world auction records. The auction showcased a wide range of Picasso’s work, from early works on paper dating back to 1905-06, to ceramics from the 1950s, and etchings from the 1970s.
Robert Kennan, Head of Editions, Europe, said, "..We were particularly thrilled with the result of £38,100 realised for Vase au décor pastel, which soared to over four times its presale estimate. This sale not only celebrates Picasso’s expansive body of work but also underscores our deep commitment to Modern and Post-War edition collecting.
