Hong Kong, 10 February 2026 - Bonhams Hong Kong is delighted to present the first luxury sale of 2026, Iconic Pursuits: Curated Handbags from a Visionary Collector. Comprising 23 lots of Hermès handbags and homeware designs, the auction is both a testament to a discerning collector's taste and a celebration of the Maison's exceptional craftsmanship. Taking place online at bonhams.com from 4 to 10 February 2026, the sale features rare and highly coveted pieces with outstanding provenance. Presented alongside the handbags are four haute horology timepieces from the same single-owner collection, offered in the Hong Kong Luxury Online: Faces of Time Reimagined sale running concurrently from 4 to 10 February 2026.

With Chinese New Year ushering in the Year of the Horse, the seventh sign of the Chinese zodiac, the symbolism could not be more fitting. Associated with prosperity, good fortune, strength and courage, the horse is intrinsically linked to Hermès' identity. Founded in 1837 as harness makers to the European nobility, the maison's equestrian heritage remains at its core. Today, the horse continues to be reinterpreted across Hermès creations, from handbags and porcelain to scarves and jewelry, with emblematic designs featured throughout the forthcoming sale.

Crystal Wong, Head of Sales and Senior Specialist of Designer Handbags and Fashion commented: "It is a privilege to present an exceptional single-owner collection of classic Hermès handbags, featuring coveted styles including the Kelly and Birkin in sumptuous color palettes. Many lots are offered in new and unused condition, complemented by a curated selection of accessories ranging from diamond-set timepieces and a 42-piece porcelain tableware service to playful Savana Dance skateboards and a Hermès Odyssee Terre Nomadic Speaker. Together, they offer collectors a rare opportunity to acquire outstanding designs from the Maison Hermès, many adorned with equestrian motifs, perfectly resonant with the Chinese Year of the Horse."
