Colm Dillane
Don’t Walk, 2026
NEW YORK, 10 AUGUST 2026, Phillips is pleased to announce its latest Dropshop release: an exclusive collaboration with Kid Super Studios, the multidisciplinary creative universe founded by artist and designer Colm Dillane. Launching on 11 August, the Drop features an edition of 50 Kid Super Studio Cases, each containing a unique original artwork by Dillane, alongside seven new paintings inspired by New York City. Available exclusively through Dropshop, the release offers collectors a rare opportunity to acquire original works that reflect Dillane’s distinctive approach to storytelling, art, and design. The collaboration was introduced to Phillips by curator and creative advisor Ché Morales, who helped originate and develop the project with Kid Super Studios and Dropshop.
At the center of the Drop is the Kid Super Studio Case, a contemporary reimagining of the classic travel trunk. Priced at $1,500, each leather trunk features an original artwork by Dillane across its exterior and is finished with a custom metal plaque denoting its edition number. Inside every Studio Case is a different original drawing on paper by Dillane, making each of the 50 editions a one-of-a-kind collectible.
The Drop also includes seven new paintings by Dillane, available for purchase through Dropshop with prices ranging from $8,750 to $32,000. The new works showcase the artist's distinctive visual language, combining layered narratives, recurring characters, and moments drawn from everyday life. Rich in detail and observation, the paintings demonstrate the imaginative approach that has made Dillane and Kid Super Studios a singular presence across contemporary culture. Complementing the Drop, Phillips will present an exhibition at its Park Avenue galleries from 12-30 August, which will feature all seven paintings, the Kid Super Studio Case, and an archival runway look that highlights the breadth of Kid Super Studios’ creative practice.
Chris Miele, Phillips' Head of E-Commerce, said, "Few artists working today navigate between art, fashion, and design as organically as Colm Dillane. His work is shaped by the energy of New York and a way of seeing that turns everyday encounters into something unexpected and memorable. That perspective is present throughout this Drop, from the paintings inspired by the city to the Studio Cases, each of which contains an original drawing. We're excited to collaborate with Kid Super Studios on a project that feels deeply connected to contemporary culture while remaining personal, playful, and distinctly New York."
Colm Dillane said, “New York is loud and chaotic, but it's also full of possibility. I think that's how I create too. That's what I try to capture in my work. That feeling that you never know what's around the next corner. You can meet someone, have an idea, or walk into a room that changes everything.
I think everyone in New York is chasing something. We don't always know where it's going, but we all believe something good can happen. That's a pretty amazing way to live.”
Known for transforming personal narratives and observations into vibrant visual worlds, Dillane approaches the Studio Cases and paintings as extensions of the same creative language. While the trunks function as collectible design objects, the inclusion of original drawings transforms each case into a unique artwork, creating an experience that bridges utility, craftsmanship, and artistic expression.
ABOUT KIDSUPER STUDIOS
Kid Super was created by Colm Dillane.
Though best known for his offbeat, emotionally charged clothing, Dillane uses Kid Super as an umbrella for everything he creates: paintings, music, films, performances, and whatever else feels honest in the moment. It’s less a brand than a living, breathing studio space in Brooklyn where experimentation is the only constant.
Dillane’s approach is joyfully chaotic, deeply personal, and rooted in the belief that creativity should never be siloed. At Kid Super, fashion coexists with comedy shows, theater plays, music videos, soccer games, and gallery installations. It’s all part of the same conversation; one driven by curiosity, friendship, and an unshakeable sense of possibility.
“When you are little, you believe you can do anything and that everything is possible - you’re young and you’re free” Dillane says. That sense of wide-eyed enthusiasm, the kind usually reserved for kids with big dreams and no backup plan, remains the heart of the project. The name itself nods to that: a reminder that when you're young, the world still feels limitless. Kid Super tries to hold onto that feeling.
Since launching, Dillane has emerged as one of fashion’s more surprising figures: a multidisciplinary artist whose DIY ethos has landed him accolades from institutions that don’t typically embrace rule-breakers. He won the 2021 Karl Lagerfeld Prize at the LVMH Awards and the 2022 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, and earned back-to-back CFDA nominations in 2022 and 2023. That same year, he was tapped to guest design the Louis Vuitton Homme Fall/Winter 2023 collection; making him the first and only outsider to take on the role since Virgil Abloh’s passing. Today, Dillane sits on the BoF500 list and serves as Brooklyn’s official Arts Ambassador, but what matters the most has not changed: it is the work, and the joy of making it.
