Leading the top ten and the 20th edition of ULTIMATE was a previously unseen lifetime print of Diane Arbus’s Identical twins, Roselle, N.J., 1967 , from the private collection of celebrated Japanese photographer Ikkō Narahara. The two featured private collections, one from Japan and the other from Europe, performed remarkably with strong prices for works by Richard Avedon, Peter Beard and Irving Penn featuring in the sale’s top ten.

ULTIMATE ELLEN VON UNWERTH was once again 100% sold with the 16 Polaroids on offer realising a total of £79,502, more than double the total low estimate. Today’s Helmut Newton online auction was 100% sold and we are thrilled with the result of nearly £2.3 million for the two sales. We look forward to building on this momentum with our Photographs from the Martin Z.
