NEW YORK, 20 March 2025 – Sotheby’s announces a partnership with WatchCheck, the leading innovator in watch servicing, to offer an unprecedented level of convenience, accessibility, and expertise to watch owners. Through this exclusive collaboration, customers can now log on to watchservices.sothebys.com, where they will have access to a comprehensive database of over 38,000 watch models.

With just a few clicks, users can select their watch model and desired service, initiate the repair process, and receive secure packaging for safe transport. A fully insured at-home pick-up is scheduled, and customers can track their watch’s journey every step of the way as it moves through the service process. Once the repairs are complete, their watch is swiftly returned to its owner, providing a hassle-free, transparent experience. This new offering addresses a significant gap in the market by simplifying the often difficult and tiresome process of watch repairs, making the service easier and more accessible than ever before.

Founded by Linden Lazarus and Will Haering, WatchCheck is the most innovative, tech-driven platform designed to provide watch enthusiasts with a trusted and accessible solution for repairing, refurbishing, and servicing their timepieces. Combining Lazarus’ experience in the luxury pre-owned watch retail industry with Haering’s background in sophisticated technology infrastructure, WatchCheck looks to turn the watch ownership experience on its head, prioritizing quality, ease, and reliability.

“Historically, watch servicing has been a highly time-consuming process, leaving much room for improvement. With our new platform, powered by WatchCheck, we are revolutionizing the watch service experience by offering owners a simple, straightforward, and secure way to care for their timepieces from the comfort of their own homes. We’re especially proud to be the only auction house to offer this service, which not only allows us to further support our existing clients but also provides an exciting opportunity to meaningfully engage with the broader watch community and beyond.” - Geoff Hess, Sotheby’s Global Head of Watches

“Seamless and intuitive define the technology powering WatchCheck. With its unparalleled reputation for trust and quality, we’ve found alike-minded partner in Sotheby’s to deliver a white-glove experience to every customer on the platform. By combining our expertise, we are setting anew standard for watch repairs—offering a seamless, reliable, and trustworthy service that transforms the way watch owners care for their valuable timepieces.” - Linden Lazarus and Will Haering, Co-Founders of WatchCheck
