
RM Sotheby’s has announced The Champions, Schumacher and F1 Legends, an online-only sale of sporting memorabilia from Formula 1 World Champions including Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton. More than 280 pieces will be offered entirely without reserve, opening for bidding on 24 July 2025 with lots closing between 29 and 30 July. As many as 35 highlight lots are expected to go on display at Gut Kaltenbrunn in Tegernsee, Germany during the Concours of Elegance Germany on 25 and 26 July. Estimates start from just €50.
Several pieces from the career of Michael Schumacher headline the sale, led by a 1997 Michael Schumacher Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 OMP Signed Racing Suit, estimated at €30,000 to €40,000, worn to victory in the 1996 Monaco Grand Prix. From the same season comes a 1996 Michael Schumacher Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 OMP Racing Suit, estimated at €20,000 to €30,000, worn during the Hockenheim race weekend where he qualified on the podium and finished 4th overall.


A 1995 Michael Schumacher Benetton Formula 1 Sparco Signed Racing Suit, estimated at €15,000 to €20,000, dates from Schumacher’s second Drivers’ World Championship-winning year, a season in which he also delivered Benetton its first and only Constructors’ World Championship. A 1992 Michael Schumacher Benetton Formula 1 Sparco Signed Racing Suit, estimated at €12,000 to €15,000, was worn to a 3rd-place finish at the 1992 Mexico Grand Prix.
The sale also includes wristwatches with motorsport history, among them the 1993 Jean Todt Personal Girard-Perregaux Automatic Chronograph Watch, estimated at €20,000 to €30,000. A prototype for the model, it is numbered ‘00’ with the box engraved with the date 04/07/1993. Also offered is a 1988 Gianni Agnelli Formula Ferrari by Cartier Automatic Watch, estimated at €10,000 to €20,000, a personal gift from Enzo Ferrari to the industrialist, engraved ‘l’ Avvocato Gianni Agnelli’ and numbered 30 of 50.


Helmets feature prominently, including a 2005 Michael Schumacher Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 Schuberth RF1 Signed Helmet, estimated at €10,000 to €15,000, a 1991 Michael Schumacher Benetton Formula 1 Arai Signed Helmet, estimated at €10,000 to €15,000, commemorating his debut, and a 2022 Charles Leclerc Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 Bell Promotional Helmet, estimated at €10,000 to €15,000.
Among the race-worn memorabilia is a pair of 2000 Michael Schumacher Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 OMP Signed Gloves, estimated at €4,000 to €6,000, worn during the 2000 German Grand Prix at Hockenheim, a pair of 2014 Lewis Hamilton Mercedes-AMG Formula 1 Signed Puma Racing Boots, estimated at €4,000 to €6,000, and a pair of Ayrton Senna Mc Laren Honda Formula 1 Signed Mizuno Racing Boots, estimated at €7,000 to €12,000. Among the only lots on two wheels is a 2010 Honda CBR 1000RR SC59, estimated at €25,000 to €35,000, built for Schumacher to use on test days.
