At the recommendation of François-Henri Pinault, Chairman and CEO of PPR, the PPR board of directors decided, in its meeting on February 26 2008, to appoint Mr Jean-François Palus to the post of Deputy CEO. In this capacity, he will have the legal power to represent PPR. At the same time he will continue in his duties as the Group's Chief Financial Officer.



François-Henri Pinault, PPR's Chairman and CEO, declared: "I am pleased with the appointment of Jean-François Palus as PPR's Deputy CEO. Since 1991, Jean-François Palus has placed his vast professional ability and entrepreneurial spirit at the service of the Group. This appointment will allow him to discharge his mission and his duties more fully."



Jean-Francois Palus, aged 46, has been Chief Financial Officer of PPR since December 2005. Before that he had been Administrative Vice Chairman of the Artemis real estate holding company since 2001. Before joining Artemis, he spent ten years within the PPR Group in the posts of Deputy Financial Officer for Pinault SA's Industry and Wood branch (from 1991 to 1993), Chief Financial Inspector for the Group (from 1993 to 1997) then Store Manager at FNAC (1997-1998) and lastly Corporate Secretary and Member of the Conforama board (from 1998 to 2001). Jean-François Palus began his career in 1985 with Arthur Andersen where he carried out the duties of auditor and financial advisor.
