Christie’s will offer The Jewelry Collection of Anne H. Bass as part of its Magnificent Jewels auction, held live at Christie’s Rockefeller Center in New York on June 17, 2025. Anne Hendricks Bass was known for her philanthropy and commitment to the arts, and for a collector’s eye reflected in the jewels she assembled over decades.

The JAR sapphire, emerald and diamond necklace, estimated at $200,000 to $300,000.

Comprising 26 jewels drawn from Mrs. Bass’s personal collection, the group features work from houses including Van Cleef & Arpels, Bulgari, Cartier and JAR. Among the highlights is a pair of Van Cleef & Arpels diamond pendant earrings, estimated at $1,200,000 to $1,800,000.

The collection includes eleven jewels by JAR, led by a JAR sapphire, emerald and diamond necklace estimated at $200,000 to $300,000. According to Christie’s, many of these works are featured in the 2002 publication JAR Volume I. The selection also includes a carved ruby and emerald collar by David Webb.

Running alongside the Magnificent Jewels sale is Anne H. Bass: The New York Interiors and Jewelry, which offers further jewelry together with furniture and decorative arts from Anne Bass’s Mark Hampton designed New York apartment.
