Paris - Bonhams Cornette de Saint Cyr hosted The Art of Luxury, a sale dedicated to the craftmanship of Hermès, Chanel and Louis Vuitton on 26 May 2026. The 200-lot live sale featured exquisite and rare 2024 pieces of Hermès furniture from a private collection that evoked the epitome of fashion refinement. With clean lines, exceptional materials, and understated innovation, these pieces translate the house's equestrian and leatherworking heritage into the world of interior design. The star of the sale was a Hermès Paris 2-seater Sellier sofa, designed by Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance. It sold for €53,740, doubling its pre-sale estimate.
Hubert Felbacq, Head of Fashion and Bags at Bonhams Cornette de Saint Cyr in Paris, commented: "An exceptional celebration of Hermès craftsmanship, where timeless design met spirited bidding. Bonhams offers access to pieces no longer available in boutiques, whether they sold out immediately upon release, come from a particular era clients are now rediscovering, or are once-unattainable items that collectors are finally able to acquire. The 2024 pieces of furniture made exceptional prices beyond their estimates. Collectors can now bid in an online auction until 18 June featuring 300 lots from Hermès, Chanel and Louis Vuitton."
Other highlights of the sale included:
