
Hong Kong – On 22 May 2025, Christie’s opened Luxury Week in Hong Kong at The Henderson with Iconic Wines from Joseph Lau Part III , which achieved a total of HK$72,890,000 / US$9,349,323 and was 100% sold. The sale drew highly competitive bidding, with nearly 70% of lots sold above high estimate.
Millennials accounted for 55% of new buyers, and more than 40% of buyers bought online, reflecting Christie’s evolving digital presence and strategy to engage new and younger collectors. Notably, the offering of Henri Jayer achieved an impressive 200% hammer above low estimate, led by the top lot, 10 bottles of Henri Jayer, Vosne-Romanée Cros Parantoux 1999, which sold for HK$3,250,000 / US$416,865, more than triple the low estimate.
Following the success of Parts Iand II at Christie’s Hong Kong in 2022 , Part III brought the overall collection total to HK$198,228,750 / US$25,426,048, with an exceptional sell-through-rate of 98% by lot and a combined hammer price 185% above the low estimate. The results achieved are a testament to the rarity, esteem, and impeccable provenance of Joseph Lau’s wines. The journey continues with Parts IV and Vof Joseph Lau’s Iconic Wine, which will be presented at Christie’s Hong Kong.

Koch: The Great American Collector | 12 -14 June, Christie’s New York The inaugural three-day auction marks the relaunch of Christie’s Wine auctions in New York at Rockefeller Center after a brief pause prompted by market trends. Aonce-in-a-generation sale, the auction will offer a meticulously curated selection of rare and historic bottlings from the world’s most esteemed wine estates, featuring legendary vintages and more than 750 extraordinary large-format bottles.
In total, over 1,500 lots will be presented, with a combined low estimate of $15 million. Highlights include exceptional vintages from icons such as Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Pétrus, Lafite Rothschild, Mouton Rothschild, Château Margaux, Henri Jayer, Armand Rousseau, Leroy, and Château Cheval Blanc, as well as rare selections from Champagne, the Rhône, Italy, and the New World.
