A skeleton of a Stegosaurus sold for £4,275,000, against an estimate of £3,000,000 to £5,000,000. The sale marked the first time three dinosaurs had been offered together at Christie’s and in London.

According to James Hyslop, Head of Science & Natural History at Christie’s London, the results reflect the lasting appeal of the specimens and their insight into the ancient world.
