New Contemporaries, the leading organisation supporting early career and emerging artists, and Christie’s Private Sales are pleased to have partnered on a joint exhibition with Christie’s London, 75 Years of New Contemporaries . The selling exhibition will feature works donated by acclaimed contemporary artists, including New Contemporaries alumni, and will run from 19–24 June at Christie’s King Street.

An accompanying online exhibition will also be live on christies.com from 12 June to 14 September 2025. This charitable initiative will raise vital funds for New Contemporaries to ensure that emerging artists continue to thrive. This is the first time in the organisations’ history that it has galvanised support from its artists to raise essential funds in support of its ongoing mission.

Artists donating work to the exhibition include: Hurvin Anderson, Sarah Ball, Fiona Banner, Basil Beattie, Michael Craig-Martin, Andrew Cranston, Tracey Emin, Jadé Fadojutimi, Jake Grewal, Maggi Hambling, Tommy Harrison, John Hoyland, Sang Woo Kim, Sahara Longe, Raúl Ortega Ayala, Emma Prempeh, Laure Prouvost, Abigail Reynolds, Anne Rothenstein, George Rouy, Veronica Ryan, Daniel Sinsel and Nana Wolke.

Founded in 1949 by artists and for artists, New Contemporaries is committed to fostering an environment where emerging and early-career artists are empowered to shape their own futures. Its 75th anniversary, celebrated throughout 2025, marks a major milestone for the history – and future – of the organisation, with a new artistic vision and a programme of new commissions, public programmes, artist residencies and research designed to create new possibilities for artists.

The programme includes Post-War to Present, Classic Week, and Christie’s London third Arab art Summer exhibition Marwan: A Soul in Exile . New Contemporaries (1988) Limited (registered in England with charity number 1013848) will receive a minimum amount of 80% of the sale price from each artwork included and sold in this exhibition.
