NEW YORK — Christie’s Spring Marquee Week continued Tuesday, May 13, 2025 with the Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper in the morning followed by the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale in the afternoon. In total, the two sales achieved $41.1 million, bringing the running total for the w eek to $530 million. The day began with Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper kicking off at 10am.

The sale saw spirited bidding throughout and totaled $9.8 million, selling 86% by lot and 93% by value.

The top lot of the sale was Rene Magritte’s Sans titre, which achieved $1,134,000. Additional top lots include Les trois grâces by Salvador Dali, which realized $1,008,000, doubling its high estimate, and Cariatide by Amedeo Modigliani, which realized $630,000. The Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale followed at 2pm, realizing a total of $31.3 million, 82% sold by lot and 90% sold by value.

The top lot of the sale was Vétheuil a canvas by Claude Monet, which totaled $3,196,000. Additional highlights in the sale included a Rodin bronze which realized $2,772,500, more than doubling its high estimate and a Camille Pissarro painting, Matin, soleil d'automne à Eragny which totaled $2,046,500 more than doubling its low estimate of $1 million.
