RM Sotheby’s Private Sales division has entered a strategic partnership with the Dutch specialist Bodie Hage and his business, Real Art on Wheels, as the next stage of its European expansion. From January 2026, both Hage and Real Art on Wheels join RM Sotheby’s, giving the Private Sales and auction divisions a continental base of operations.
Based in Burgerveen in the Netherlands, about a 10-minute drive from Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport, Real Art on Wheels is a leading Dutch collector car dealership and represents the life’s work of founder Bodie Hage, who has run it as a full dealership since 2013.
The 1,200-square-metre glass-fronted facility near the Westeinderplassen was purpose-built as a sales showroom with space for 40 cars, of which around 35 are typically on display. Its second floor houses a research facility headed by Anton van Luijk, while a nearby workshop and storage building holds a further 30 cars.
The workshop handles routine maintenance, rally preparation, and full restorations, and the company offers independent market advice; Hage is a certified appraiser accredited by Federatie TMV. Around 60 percent of the firm’s existing clients are Dutch, and the partnership gives them access to RM Sotheby’s Sealed platform and the wider RM Sotheby’s and Sotheby’s network.
The Interclassics classic car show in Maastricht, held from 15 to 18 January 2026, marked the first opportunity for RM Sotheby’s and Real Art on Wheels to appear together, with both brands co-presenting at the show.
